I knew it!

I knew it! They never gave the people onboard a chance to take the plane over, they shot it down, then covered it up so the American people wouldn’t be pissed off… I'd have preferred to be alerted upfront about this at the time of the incident, we're all adults, we can handle it.

WorldNetDaily: Rumsfeld says 9-11 plane 'shot down' in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON – Ever since Sept. 11, 2001, there have been questions about Flight 93, the ill-fated plane that crashed in the rural fields of Pennsylvania.

The official story has been that passengers on the United Airlines flight rushed the hijackers in an effort to prevent them from crashing the plane into a strategic target – possibly the U.S. Capitol.

During his surprise Christmas Eve trip to Iraq, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld referred to the flight being shot down – long a suspicion because of the danger the flight posed to Washington landmarks and population centers.

Why is this shocking? Either way people were going to burn.

I have long believed this was the real truth, but don't see the military's actions as being wrong.

The minute that plane was in the hands of the terrorists, it became an enemy missile, and the American inhabitants inside were collateral damage, an accurate, if dismissive, description of their role in the big picture. The plane had to come down; otherwise the lives of those present at the target site as well as the plane's passengers, were in danger. And it had to come down in an area where the least damage would be inflicted on civilians on the ground.

We can't second guess our government at every opportunity, otherwise we effectively neuter them at keeping us as safe as is reasonably possible.

The issue is, they didn't feel we could "Handle the truth" of it at the time, which is an insult to my intelligence. Allow me to decide what I can and can't handle, not some stuffed up crooked politician.

Worse, maybe if they had given them a couple more minutes, they'd of taken the flight back from the terrorists? We'll never know now unfortunately.

kob,

I do see your point. You could have handled the truth. I could have handled the truth. But a sensationalistic media looking for a cross upon which to crucify the President and his administration could NOT have handled the truth.

I don't know what the RIGHT answers were on that day, frankly. I DO know, however, that there were no EASY answers for those in charge; it is up to us to remember that much, at least.

ive felt all along it was shot down.

worldnetdaily reporting that it was is, unfortunately, the most likely indicator it didnt happen.

hopefully some more credible journalists will be able to confirm it.
